FREEDOM FEST 250 IS JULY 3RD and 4TH!

We are excited to celebrate our nations 250th 

We are having a Friday Night Block Party  our traditional 4th of July Events! The block  party is being  hosted by The Dream Theatre and it  includes a movie and wrestling - all On The Bricks!


Bring your lawn or camping chair and enjoy the festivities!

Muriel E Fisk Freedom Fest House Decorating Contest

As part of the Russell County Freedom Fest,  the family of Muriel E. Fisk will again sponsor the event Patriotic House Decorating Contest. A cash award will be given for  first place in the Following categories:

- Daytime House

- Nighttime House


You can also pickup registration forms at the Chamber office!

RACC Freedom Fest 250 Raffle

Russell Area Chamber of Commerce is holding a Freedom Fest Raffle that includes:

- 1 of 2 Children's Bicycles

-  A 26 inch Adult Mountain Bike

- A 16' above ground pool and accessories

-  A family Fireworks Package

- A McDonalds Happy Meal once a week for a year


Tickets are $5 ea. or 5 for $20 and will be sold at various locations and events until the drawing on July 3rd. Check our Facebook for more information!

Dynamite Dash Has Been Cancelled!

We were unable to secure a location for a renewal of the Dynamite Dash. We are really hopeful that a new venue can be found and then we will continue to work to make this happen again in the future!

RACACF is sponsoring a screening of Shrek! The Dream Theatre will show the movie on a 30 ft screen on the bricks at 9:30pm

8am Freedom Fest 5K

Our 2nd Annual 5K will begin at 8am on July 4th. Registration begins at 7:30 am

Join our valued members of our local VFW for a presentation celebrating those who gave some and some who gave all!

12:30pm RACC Duck Race

Russell Area Chamber of Commerce is having a Duck Race. Ducks are $5 ea. and the Duck that crosses the finish line first

1pm to 7pm Free Swimming!

The Russell Municipal pool will offer free swimming from 1pm until 7pm

2pm VFW Community Bingo

Bingo at the VFW!

4pm Cake Walk

The VFW is having their annual Cake Walk. Come on in and win a great desert to help finish off the evening!

9:45pm Fireworks!

The Annual Ernest "Ernie" L. Carter Memorial Fireworks Display!
