Come to our RACC Farmer's Market
August 8th and September 12th
We will be looking to begin around 9am but the Senior Center will be there from 8am to 12 Noon
Room for Vendors
We will be setup in the Russell Senior Center Parking lot (free) and there will be space inside the Senior Center (for a small fee of $10) for your convenience!

Second Saturdays are popular with our Downtown Merchants. They will often have weekend specials and some nice offers for everyone!

Freedom Fest 250 was a big success!
Russell County and the City of Russell celebrated our nation's 250th Birthday is style!
Events that had a lot of fun!
Our community came together for an exciting block party Friday night, featuring a beer garden, karaoke, wrestling matches, and a free screening of the movie Shrek. It was a wonderful opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy entertainment, food, and camaraderie in a festive atmosphere.
Saturday morning brought a little rain in the morning but it clearded up for our 5K, our Annual Parade, the VFW annual BBQ and Patriotic presentation, a Duck Race, Bingo and a Cake Walk. The Fireworks were delayed until Sunday night but it was a great show

Wallpe Chiropractic and Restoration
Wallpe Chiropractic and Restoration recently moved onto Main Street in Russell and their opening was celebrated by both Russell Main Street and RACC. Located now at 718 N Main Street, Dr Evan offers the same great Chiropractic and Wellness services that have made him successful here in Russell!
There was a great turn out and those that attended Grand Opening had a great time . Dr Evan raffled off some nice prizes and refreshments were served to a gathering in the community.

Bomgaars 5th Anniversary in Russell!
Bomgaars has been in business for more than 80 years. It is a family owned business based out of Sioux City, Iowa.
Bomgaars opened store in Kansas about 5 years ago and opened in Russell in 2021. Their official grand opening was on May 20th 2021. Of those original employees, only 2 remain. Store Manage Mona Grady and Lorietta Spilian.
\Mona says that they are grateful for their loyal customers and feel rewarded for the job that they are doing. She also says that they are planning on having a great future serving Russell!
